Platform Petroleum Holdings lays Foundation for Austin Avuru  Department of Geology Complex 
Oil and Gas moguls form SEPLAT and Platform Petroleum Holdings Limited (PPL), recently gathered at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka for the ground-breaking ceremony of the construction of the Austin Avuru Department of Geology Building Complex.

The Chairman, Platform Petroleum Holdings Limited (PPL), Chief (Barr.) Dumo Lulu-Briggs, revealed that the building was an endowment project in honour of Oil and Gas mogul and Chief Executive Officer of SEPLAT, Mr. Austin Avuru. He explained that the desire to partner with the University was part of the industry's social responsibility of which education is at the core of the agenda.
“We hope to promote quality education in Nigeria in order to combat the menace of nepotism, terrorism and corruption”, he said.
           
He stressed that there was need to educate the next generation because education was a key to development.

Chief Lulu-Briggs lauded the presence of the Chairman, SEPLAT Petroleum Development Company Plc, Dr. A. B. C Ojiakor who is also the pioneer founder of Platform Petroleum Holdings Limited. The building would comprise 5 blocks, 16 offices, 2 big classroom blocks for 500 level and Postgraduate students as well as 16 toilets down and 6 toilets up for ease of convenience.

Dignitaries at the event were the staff of Platform Petroleum Holdings Ltd including  the Group Managing Director/CEO, Emmanuel Konyebugu; Managing Director, Osa Owieadolor; Directors, Sir, Moshe C. Amaechi; Chukwudi E. Dimkpa and Akindele O. Ojo.
